Label and brand identity design for Pakawas, a handcrafted joven mezcal from Tamaulipas, Mexico. The project included a custom illustration used on the front label and as a signature icon across various applications. The client was looking for a simple, artisanal look tailored specifically to the mezcal market.
The illustration was hand-drawn using a Wacom tablet and Adobe Photoshop, based on the real appearance of the Agave angustifolia, the plant used to produce this mezcal. The final style aims to mimic the finish of traditional lithographic plates once used in printing.
Although a logo wasn’t technically created for the brand itself, the label design was used as a key part of the identity and applied across social media and other formats as a logo.
